Cedar Healthcare Center, a senior living and rehabilitation community in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking a compassionate and professional Front Desk & Business Office Assistant to join our team.

Position: Front Desk & Business Office Assistant

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Location: Portsmouth, NH

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00

Summary:

Cedar Healthcare Center is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk & Business Office Assistant to support both our reception and business office functions. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors while also assisting with key administrative and financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner

  • Manage patient registration and scheduling processes

  • Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails, and take messages as needed

  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in handling patient records and sensitive information

  • Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping

  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including waiting rooms and administrative spaces

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including data entry and invoice tracking

  • Support billing functions, including preparing and submitting claims or documentation as directed

  • Maintain accurate financial and administrative records

  • Provide general administrative support
