Position Overview
The Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) department is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Governance Administrator to support departmental reporting, operational analytics, and data management initiatives. This role will work closely with leadership the Data Engineer, and staff to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and usability of data across multiple systems and reporting environments.
The Data Governance Administrator supports departmental reporting, operational data management, and analytics initiatives through accurate data maintenance, reporting development, dashboard creation, and process improvement support. This role works collaboratively across teams to ensure data integrity, support operational decision-making, and enhance reporting workflows within CEWD programs.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working with data in both operational and reporting capacities. This position plays a key role in supporting reporting workflows, maintaining data accuracy, assisting with dashboard development, and ensuring reliable data entry and record maintenance practices across departmental systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Input, update, and maintain accurate data across departmental systems and tracking platforms
  • Review and validate data to ensure consistency, completeness, and reporting accuracy
  • Conduct quality control, audits, and reporting to track data accuracy, completeness, and trends
  • Manage CEWD's new student enrollment management system, Xenegrade
  • Oversee data collection, cleaning, validation, and storage processes to support decision-making and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data systems, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance
  • Collaborate with college coordinators, counselors, and program staff to verify and maintain operational data
  • Perform SQL queries and data validation tasks within departmental databases
  • Assist with updating and maintaining structured data inputs and records
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations for departmental and executive reporting
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting requests across CEWD programs
  • Transform, prepare, and organize datasets for reporting and analysis using Excel, SQL, Power Query, and Power BI
  • Analyze trends and relationships within data to support operational insights and decision-making
  • Collaborate with the Data Integration Engineer on workflow process improvements and database-related initiatives
  • Assist in documenting reporting logic, data definitions, workflows, and operational procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related fields.

Advanced proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • SQL
  • Power BI
  • Power Query / data transformation workflows
  • Experience working with operational data and reporting environments
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to review and maintain accurate data records
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards for operational or executive audiences
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate meaningful insights and trends
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with team members
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with student information systems, workforce development systems, or educational data
  • Strong familiarity with reporting standards, data governance, and compliance-aware data handling
  • Experience supporting reporting automation or integration workflows
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and structured data models
  • Exposure to workflow automation, ETL processes, or reporting optimization strategies is preferred
  • Experience using CampusCE, Xenegrade, or similar database/reporting systems is a plus

Additional Expectations
  • The candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • This role requires regular collaboration with the Data Integration Engineer, staff, and departmental leadership
  • Availability to work two evenings a week between 6 pm and 9 pm to meet with the Data Integration Engineer remotely

This is an annual appointment with the possibility of renewal.
Pay Range:
$50,000-$60,000
