Job Description

Energetic Student Advocate who can support students and join our fun & friendly Adult Basic Education (ABE) team.The position requires a student-centered, friendly, engaged, and enthusiastic attitude to support the ABE Program and its students. Flexibility to workdays/nights/weekends is required, be punctual, and provide excellent student support services.

  • Support in registering students in-person, by phone, and/or by email following ABE program procedures

  • Screening students

  • Ask a series of questions to the student to see if they qualify for our program.

  • Enter student information into a tracking sheet/database (LUMENS)

  • Ensure accurate data entry

  • Submit a call log daily to your lead

  • ABE daily phone duties incoming/outgoing

  • Tracking incoming calls to ensure successful placement

  • Enter student data in the tracking sheet for student follow-up

  • ABE daily email duties incoming/outgoing

  • Respond to emails and follow up with students

  • Welcoming/facilitating student intake/assessment process

  • Proficient in Outlook email, data entry, and friendly customer service with a smile

  • Student-centered / listening / verbal communication / organizational skills

  • A flexible schedule is required: days/nights/weekends (will work around class schedule)

  • Energetic, Friendly, reliable, and punctual for your shift

  • Data entry for student data into tracking sheet/database portals as needed.

  • Required accurate data entry of less than 2% error rate

  • Notify students and instructors of any class updates, as requested

  • Complete follow-up calls for ABE students to track student progress/success rates

  • Bilingual students are encouraged to apply

  • Additional job duties as assigned
