Job description

At Utz Quality Foods, we have expanded our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility and looking for a dedicated Raw Material Utilityto join our team. This hands-on role will involve material handling, operating palletizing equipment, and supporting our packaging operations to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

Schedule:Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:30PM, Saturdays as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety standards to maintain a zero-accident culture on the production floor.
  • Operate and adjust robotic palletizers and production equipment, ensuring proper programming for new products and specifications.
  • Accurately track and enter pallet data into our data collection systems and complete inventory control logs.
  • Review production schedules, move pallets from the production area to the warehouse, and ensure materials are staged for the next shift.
  • Ensure labeling and barcoding are correct and address any packaging quality issues with attention to detail.
  • Ensure that equipment and work areas are cleaned and well-maintained.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking and monitoring equipment performance.
  • Forklift experience and the ability to obtain a certification on day one.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while staying organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, production environment.
  • Spanish-speaking preferred but not required, to support diverse team communication.
