About the Roleย 
We're looking for aย People & Cultureย Co-Op Studentย to join ourย People & Cultureย team.ย This position will be reporting to theย Peopleย Operations Specialist, and is for the September 2026 - December 2026 co-op term.

Whatย You'llย Doย 

  • Performance & Developmentย -ย Shadow leader conversations where the P&C Business Partner is rolling out the skills matrix,ย partner with a leader and P&C Business Partner toassistwithdevelopingthe matrix for their team, and track participation in any training initiativesย 
  • Engagement & Retentionย -ย AssistwitheNPScoordination and resultscompilation,ย assistย with the CSR Committeeย (MS Cares Q4 initiative, fundraisers,ย and planning for 2027), and update the P&C slides for Town Hallsย 
  • Talent Acquisition- Create job postings, review applications, shadow phone screens, andย assistย with rolling out the co-op program for 2027ย 
  • People Analytics & Reporting-ย Ensure data is traced accurately in HRIS (BambooHR) and learn how metrics are used in decision makingย 
  • Onboarding&ย Offboarding-ย Assist with onboardingย preparation, shadow first day orientations,ย shadow exit interviews, and coordinate checklists and tracking for employee existsย 
  • Miscellaneous Administrative Tasksย -ย Assist with data entry in various P&C-related systems andย employee handbook policy creation & updatesย 

You'llย Also Work on the Following Projects:ย 

  • Employee resource group creationย (approximately 15 hours to complete)ย 
  • People and Culture Moments Calendar with campaign plans -ย Build an annual calendar of key cultural and awareness dates with a brief activation plan for each, including internal & external communicationsย (approximately 30 hours to complete)ย 
  • BambooHR file migration and data clean-upย (approximatelyย 80ย hoursย to complete)ย 

What You Bringย 

  • Currentlyย enrolledย in a post-secondaryย programย with aย Canadian institution in Business,ย Administration,ย Humanย Resources, or related fieldย 
  • Experience withย digital productivity tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar)ย 
  • Experienceย using a Human Resource Information System (BambooHR preferred)ย 
  • Familiarity with compliance and training platforms, such asย EasyLlama,ย Udemy, or similarย 
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively in both written and verbal formย 
  • Active listening skills,ย demonstratingย attention to stakeholder needs, the ability to ask clarifying questions, and confirm understanding before actingย 
  • The ability to build relationships across different business functions and show a team-oriented attitudeย 
  • Demonstrates proactive communication byย identifyingย and raising issues early, providing regular progress updates, and confidently escalating blockers when neededย 
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environmentย 

Compensation:ย $21.67 -ย $31.53ย CAD perย hour (asย determinedย by work term)ย 

This roleย requires working onsite in ourย Cambridgeย officeย (96 Grand Ave S Unit 101, Cambridge, ON N1S 2L9)ย two days per week.ย
