Job description

Job Summary

Performs tasks using Microsoft Office applications including word processing, database management, and electronic mail and scheduling. Maintains a broad knowledge of Employee Health functions and associated HR procedures. Handles confidential information on a regular basis. Interacts routinely with employees, and managers. Performs in-department transcription of dictation from Medical Director. Assists Human Resources, the Worker's Compensation Coordinator and other areas within Employee Health & Wellness with various duties as requested.

Essential Functions

  • All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference

  • Performs data management utilizing HRIS software, Microsoft Office, and Prisma Health intranet. Performs data entry for EH&W, W/C and FMLA as needed to support department.

  • Maintains employee records including data entry, filing, reports, storage, and retrieval.

  • Transcribes dictation of Medical Director. Reports vaccine reactions in the VAERS database.

  • Responds to incoming calls for information.

  • Maintains department schedules and revises as needed. Generates a weekly summary of EH post offer screening activity to the Employment Department.

  • Assists with major projects (Respirator Fit-testing, Flu Distribution) for data entry and badge scanning.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - Job related course work beyond High School (i.e., technical school, business or computer coursework).

  • Experience - Three (3) years administrative support in a healthcare or human resources setting. Medical transcription experience preferred
