Position Summary

Do you thrive in a leadership role? Or maybe looking to take the next step in career? Join our Omnicare, closed-door pharmacy as a Lead Pharmacy Technician in our Front End department and help us deliver best customer support to our long-term care, assisted living and chronic care customers.
Day in the Life:
As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will work to lead and support the front-end pharmacy technician team and assist when the pharmacy is busy with data entry, customer service, and processing support tasks. Our front-end team is focused on entering in orders, working alongside the pharmacist to ensure accuracy, and providing best in customer service. Additional tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with senior technicians to coordinate daily production of assigned areas including: data entry, customer service, and automation
  • Troubleshooting and assisting with front-end processes and workflow issues to identify a solution
  • Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed
  • Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws

What You Bring:
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Skills/Experience, but not Required:
  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • PTCB National Certification
Education
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
