Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currenlty recruiting for an entry level Treasury Clerk in Houston  Texas. This position is located within the 75416 zip code area. This a contract position within a Wood Client company with possibility for extension and potential to grow into a longer contract. The Treasury Clerk will work with vendors to confirm banking instructions and input banking instructions into accounting system.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Familiarity with electronic payment methods including Fedwire, ACH and international wires
  • Familiarity with common office processes, handling general inquires and directing telephone calls
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with common word processing, spreadsheets, and basic accounting software
  • Accurate and efficient typing skills for data entry, answering emails and typing various documents
  • Verbal communication for addressing other employees, customers and other business contacts
  • Organization and ability to multitask for filing and completing several clerical and administrative tasks at once
  • Attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard, such as taking sufficiently detailed minutes and telephone messages
  • Integrity and discretion when working with sensitive employee and customer details

Skills Requirements:

  • Accuracy in checking, posting and counting, presenting numerical data effectively.
  • Listens and gets clarification when needed.
  • Edits work for spelling and grammar.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
