  • Act as a communication point between TSPC and other parties to ensure timely exchange of investigative information.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed case data in the Investigation Case Management System (ICMS), tracking tasks, documenting updates, and ensuring compliance with statute, rule, and internal procedure.
  • Apply knowledge of Oregon statutes and administrative rules to support investigators and provide clear, accurate communication to external parties.
  • Coordinate interview logistics for witnesses and educators.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis;

An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis;

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Qualifications:

  • Must be LEDS certified or be able to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.

Desired Attributes:

  • Accurately organize and manage large volumes of documents and case information.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail in case files and data entry.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate professionally with internal staff and external partners.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Use databases, case management systems, and electronic document tools effectively.

Why TSPC?

At the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC), your work matters. We are a mission-driven agency committed to ensuring that every Oregon student has access to qualified, ethical, and effective educators.

Our amazing benefits include:

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Low-cost medical, vision, and dental plans for you and your family. Additional benefits include life insurance, short- and long-term disability, deferred compensation savings plans, and flexible spending accounts for health and childcare.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: 11 holidays, 3 personal business days, monthly sick leave and vacation leave that increases with years of service.

  • Wellness Resources: Support for work-life balance, health, and overall well-being.
  • Career Development: Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
  • Commuting: Access to Get There - Oregon's carpool matching tool and trip planner.
  • Student Loan Forgiveness: Potential eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
