Position Summary:

(Overall purpose of this position)

  • The Warehouse Associate pulls, packs, and ships products to assure customer orders are accurately filled and shipped on a timely basis

Essential duties and responsibilities which must be performed to carry out the position purpose summarized above:

  • Receives and unloads incoming material and verifies information on a packing slip to the purchase order verifying the accuracy of the shipment; may process return shipments from customers
  • Sorts, counts, packages, unpacks inbound and outbound material
  • Uses handheld barcode scanners to complete all necessary inbound and outbound material documents
  • Pulls orders accurately through completion. Stages loading and unloading area with material
  • Cuts aluminum and brush within required tolerances in accordance with production order guidelines. Inspects material used noting any damage or defect and notifying a supervisor or purchasing personnel
  • Fills and maintains bins and racks, checks inventory levels maintaining all warehouse inventory and records
  • Prepares shipments for transporting; determines the most economical and efficient shipping method. Selects appropriate shipping container; packs product to ensure safe deliver
  • Enters data for UPS orders
  • Operates forklift, loads and unload trucks
  • Builds pallets
  • Maintains pallet racks and aisles
  • Operates punch press
  • Performs housekeeping and building maintenance duties
  • Assures compliance with all safety related regulations
  • Bands and wraps skids; makes boxes
  • Assists with inventory management; performs physical inventory
  • Serves as a member of the warehouse team, provides assistance as needed
  • Keeps supervisor inform on key issues
  • Other duties as assigned
