Data Entry Operator

Location: Los Angeles CA 90015

Duration: 6 Months Contract with a good chance to extend.

Shift: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (37.5 weekly hours)

Parking: Parking permit available for purchase @ bi-weekly/monthly rate; street parking available.

Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible and accountable for the accurate maintenance of biographical and demographic information on individual and corporate records in Salesforce, the Central Advancement constituent record management database. The Records Researcher organizes information and enters updates into Salesforce by working with staff members, manipulate large data segments and by preparing load batches utilizing data management tools, and other sources to collect accurate constituent demographic data.

Job Accountabilities:

• Completes biographic and demographic information updates of alumni, donors, and friends from multiple sources.

• Responsible for completing assigned cases and interims to improve that overall data quality in the system.

• Uses data manipulation processing (i.e., excel formulas and functions, or SQL scripting) to prepare data for batching, validation, and reconciliation.

• Researches, prepares, and updates the findings from data integrity audit queries.

• Updates constituent involvement, service indicator, and other code as needed.

Core duties include:

• A keen eye for detail and the ability to spot and correct errors with accuracy and efficiency.

• Proactive and curious problem-solver.

• Fast learner, very accurate, able to multi-task, and work with minimal supervision.

• Editing data and creating reports from data extracted from electronic information.

The Central Advancement Records Researcher interfaces with the public and colleagues across the university and alumni, donors, parents, and friends. This person must have a professional demeanor, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated experience with project coordination.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience using modern CRMs for data entry. (Salesforce, CRM Advance, RE NXT, etc.).

• Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft 365, with emphasis on Excel, Word, Outlook.

• Proficiency with and ability to learn new technology and incorporate into work.

• High proficiency in keyboard and 10-key data entry.
