Data Entry / Administrative Assistant

Pleasants Power Station – Belmont, WV


POSITION SUMMARY

Pleasants Power Station is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry / Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to plant management and staff. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records, entering and managing data, assisting with reporting, coordinating office activities, and supporting daily operations to ensure the efficient functioning of the facility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain plant data, records, and documentation in company systems and databases.
  • Prepare, format, and distribute reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other administrative documents.
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems in accordance with company policies and record retention requirements.
  • Assist with invoice processing, and other administrative tasks assigned.
  • Coordinate meetings, schedules, and conference room arrangements.
  • Answer direct phone calls, emails, and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Support plant personnel with document preparation, data collection, and record management.
  • Assist with safety, environmental, training, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure confidentiality of personnel, operational, and company information.
  • Perform general clerical duties including copying, scanning, filing, and document distribution.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure data accuracy and administrative efficiency.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Primarily office-based within an operating power generation facility.
  • May occasionally be required to enter plant areas while following all applicable safety policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to comply with company safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.


Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license required with the ability to maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Previous administrative, clerical, data entry, or office support experience preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial, utility, manufacturing, or power generation environment is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
