Vickar Community Chevrolet is looking to fill the position of a full time, permanent Parts Delivery Driver, who will be responsible for scheduling parts work in the parts department and for selling recommended or requested parts to customers. He or she will act as the dealership’s first-line customer relations and service representative. The parts advisor is responsible for ordering, selling and managing stock control on a wide range of vehicle parts and accessories.

We are known as the Auto Group where “Customers send their friends”.

THE ROLE:

  • Delivery and pick-up of parts and accessories
  • Assist team members with shipping and receiving of products and materials
  • Pick orders from inventory
  • Assist in keeping the department organized and functioning efficiently
  • Adhere to all safety standards
  • Other related duties as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent; post-secondary education an asset.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in progressive auto industry roles, mainly in parts, is preferred.
  • MB driver’s license with acceptable safe driving record (via MPI abstract).
  • Defensive, cautious and patient driving in varying weather conditions – always reflecting the values of the company while on the road.
  • Good knowledge of Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
  • Must be comfortable driving a 3/4-ton cargo van.
  • Able to sit/drive for long periods throughout the day and repeatedly load/unload packages of up-to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven data entry, data editing and typing skills.
  • Professional appearance and manners.
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
