Job Description The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including the accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and account receivables. Job Duties and Responsibilities Provide timely and accurate payment processing by processing accounts payable checks semi‐weekly. Input credit and debits to the accounting system in support of the payables work. Develop and maintain reports and files on the Accounts Payable processing. Input general ledger entries for account changes. Develop and maintain reports and files on asset and liability account balances. Develop and maintain regular reports via the company's accounting system. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Knowledge and Skills Analytical skills to evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data in various forms and formats. Perform calculations and analysis used in basic accounting. Basic knowledge in proper accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level. Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level. Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.). Self‐motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player. Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
