Data Enrichment Remote information

What is a data enrichment remote?

A Data Enrichment Remote job involves improving and updating data records by adding relevant information, correcting inaccuracies, and ensuring data quality, all while working from a remote location. Professionals in this role often gather data from various sources, validate it, and enhance existing databases to support business operations and decision-making. This position typically requires attention to detail, research skills, and familiarity with data management tools. Remote data enrichment roles are common in industries like marketing, sales, and e-commerce, where accurate and comprehensive data is essential.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a data enrichment specialist working remotely?

To thrive as a Data Enrichment Specialist in a remote setting, you need strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and experience with data management—often supported by a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Familiarity with data processing tools such as Microsoft Excel, CRM systems, and sometimes SQL or data visualization platforms is typically required. Outstanding organizational skills, self-motivation, and effective written communication are essential soft skills for remote collaboration and data accuracy. These competencies ensure the efficient handling of large datasets, maintain data integrity, and support business decision-making from a remote environment.

What are some common challenges faced by remote data enrichment specialists, and how can they be addressed?

Remote data enrichment specialists often encounter challenges such as inconsistent data quality, lack of direct communication with team members, and managing large, complex datasets. To address these issues, it's important to establish clear data validation protocols, utilize collaboration tools for ongoing communication, and leverage automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks. Regular check-ins with the team and thorough documentation can also help maintain consistency and ensure project alignment, even when working remotely.

Job Description:

At L3Harris, our Corporate Supply Chain organization is a high-visibility team focused on leveraging enterprise scale, enabling strategic digital tools, and strengthening supplier relationships across the company. This role sits within the Corporate Capability Center and will play a key role in shaping the future of L3Harris's digital supply chain capabilities. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, comfortable working with data, and eager to think through complex problems from both a customer and systems perspective. This intern will be encouraged to ask questions, explore data, and help design solutions that improve visibility, decision-making, and operational effectiveness across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Organize, analyze, and interpret datasets originating from ERP systems, data enrichment sources, supplier subcontracting reports, and internal knowledge management systems.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of supplier classifications across the enterprise to identify common suppliers, inconsistencies, and opportunities for standardization.
  • Develop analytical tools, dashboards, or models that improve process efficiency, transparency, and data visibility.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Supply Chain, and business segment teams to understand procurement workflows, challenges, and customer needs.
  • Partner with IT and analytics teams to support enhancements to existing tools and help identify opportunities for new digital solutions.
  • Translate data findings into clear insights, recommendations, and visualizations that support business decision-making.
  • Support the Supply Chain AI Council by contributing data-driven insights, exploring innovative ideas, and helping evaluate opportunities to apply analytics and AI to supply chain use cases.

Qualifications

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation).
  • Hands-on experience with data and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to scripting or programming languages such as Python, R, C#, Java, or similar.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a curiosity for exploring data and understanding how it connects to real business problems.
  • Experience working with both quantitative and qualitative datasets (e.g., financial, performance, or operational data).
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and identify patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a willingness to propose ideas, challenge assumptions, and think creatively.
