Job description

The Sales Engineer's primary responsibility is to support the estimation of voice, data, surveillance, and access control networks, serving as the critical link between sales and delivery. This role handles onsite and remote data collection, bill of materials creation, design documentation, and related deliverables. Working closely with both the sales and delivery teams, the Sales Engineer ensures that designs are accurate and aligned with customer needs as well as the company's delivery capabilities. The position requires extensive travel, frequently for multiple days at a time. Travel is estimated to be at least 50% of the time.
Requirements
  • Located in California
  • Clean driving record
  • Willing to take and pass a live scan
  • Able to travel frequently. Often more than 50% of the time.
  • Basic construction experience - 1-3 years minimum preferred
  • Low voltage experience - 1-3 years minimum preferred
  • Solar experience - 1-3 years minimum preferred
  • Networking, Voice, Access Control, experience required - 1+ year experience
  • Proficient with computers, computer applications, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day; sometimes exceeding this.
  • Able to follow OSHA guidelines
  • Able to use basic power tools
  • Able to safely climb ladders
