Job description

This is an onsite position and candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
CMK Resources is building a team of experienced Storage Engineers to support a growing portfolio of federal customer initiatives across the United States. We are seeking professionals with strong enterprise storage engineering backgrounds who can provide both hands-on technical expertise and strategic guidance during complex infrastructure modernization and storage migration efforts.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in enterprise environments, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and can serve as a trusted advisor to customers during large-scale operational transitions and "rip and replace" migration initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Support enterprise storage environments for federal customer engagements across multiple locations
  • Participate in large-scale storage migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives
  • Provide engineering, administration, and operational support for enterprise storage platforms
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership
  • Assist with storage assessments, planning, implementation, migration, and optimization efforts
  • Support enterprise storage operations in highly available and mission-critical environments
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, virtualization, networking, security, and operations teams
  • Troubleshoot storage performance, capacity, and availability issues
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices
  • Guide customers and internal teams through operational and infrastructure transitions
  • Participate in architecture discussions and strategic infrastructure planning efforts
Required Experience
  • 7 to 10+ years of enterprise storage infrastructure experience
  • Strong experience supporting large-scale storage migration and modernization projects
  • Experience with enterprise storage platforms including: NetApp, Dell/EMC, HPE Storage Solutions, Pure Storage, and other enterprise storage technologies
  • Experience managing enterprise storage environments through operational transitions
  • Strong troubleshooting, operational leadership, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor during complex migration efforts
  • Experience working in enterprise, federal, or highly regulated environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Calm, solutions-oriented personality with the ability to perform in mission-critical environments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within customer-facing teams
  • Willingness to relocate within the United States based on project requirements
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting federal or government customers
  • Familiarity with virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and data center operations
  • Exposure to infrastructure modernization or hybrid cloud initiatives
  • Experience with storage performance tuning and capacity planning
  • Experience supporting multi-site enterprise storage environments
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance required
