Job Description

Responsible for providing technical leadership while actively engaging in the design, development, implementation, and support of multi-layered enterprise applications. This includes not only performing the appropriate software development lifecycle activities but also serving as a technical leader and mentor to other engineers. Serves as a subject matter expert in one or more aspects of software engineering best practices, which includes but is not limited to front-end UI & UX, APIs & microservices, schema development, and SecDevOps. Explores emerging technologies and anticipates industry disruptions. Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and conforming to coding standards.

This role will support the design, development, and integration of customer data solutions leveraging Salesforce Data Cloud and related enterprise technologies to enable customer insights, data-driven engagement, and scalable data services across the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for technical analysis, design, and development of complex changes or project milestones across multiple systems within a platform, including troubleshooting, containment, issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
  • Lead and execute technical initiatives that may span multiple systems and applications.
  • Serve as a mentor to Software Engineers I and II, including assisting and training on technical and data analysis, problem solving, and code reviews to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders through interviews and other information-gathering activities to support the development and enhancement of applications and services.
  • Maintain technical expertise by studying emerging development tools, programming techniques, and technologies while participating in educational opportunities.
  • Partner with business analysts and customers to resolve issues and plan for future business and technology needs.
  • Collaborate with users to understand system utilization and identify enhancement and modification opportunities.
  • Utilize technical and analytical expertise to analyze, design, and develop new application solutions.
  • Create, modify, test, debug, document, and maintain complex application programs.
  • Act as a lead resource for Software Engineers I and II by providing guidance, training, and mentorship throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current application development techniques, including object-oriented and client/server technologies.
  • Professional experience developing software across multiple layers of the application stack, including front-end, back-end, data, and database technologies.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with defined structures, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5-8 years of technical, analytical, systems, and programming experience.
Preferred Experience
  • Salesforce Data Cloud, including Unified Customer Profiles, Data Model Objects (DMOs), Data Graphs, and Calculated Insights.
  • Designing, developing, and supporting Customer Data Platform (CDP) solutions, customer identity resolution, and customer data unification strategies.
  • Audience segmentation, customer activation, and data-driven marketing technologies.
  • Event-streaming, messaging, and integration technologies, such as Kafka.
  • Modern cloud data architectures, including federated data access and zero-copy data sharing models.
  • Building scalable customer data solutions that support analytics, personalization, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Applying data governance, privacy, security, and compliance best practices for customer and enterprise data.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce platforms with enterprise applications, APIs, and cloud-based data ecosystems.
