Job description

We are seeking Calibration Technicians of all levels to join our Holt Precision Inc., an Accredited Labs company!

We're seeking motivated individuals who exhibit a strong work ethic and a passion for learning. No previous experience? No problem! We offer extensive training. We prioritize attitude and potential over prior experience, and we're prepared to mentor the right candidate. Experience in our industry is not required, and training will be provided upon hire. Making this position suitable for both entry-level candidates and those with experience.

Location: At our Holt Precision Inc. branch office in South Windsor, CT and on-site at various customer sites.

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

  • Complete accurate and timely calibrations in the lab and on customer sites
  • Perform routine and complex calibration on various equipment per company processes and instructional documentation
  • Perform calibration on a variety of devices and instruments in accordance with established procedures, standards, and protocols 
  • Working directly with clients with good communication to provide client updates on services needed 
  • Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards
  • Maintain calibration activity records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and to date
  • Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support
  • Communicate with customers throughout the process and provide status updates  

You will be successful in this role if you: 

  • Have the ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly 
  • Can adapt to multiple different work environments and settings  
  • Are customer-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Are a person who is punctual, respectful, and honest with a positive attitude 
  • Have an excellent attention to detail 
  • Have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Basic Qualifications:

  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customers' locations in the South Windsor, CT 

Nice to have:

  • CMM Calibration experience
  • Gage/part inspection experience
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, and techniques in metrology gained through education or professional experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or other Technical Fields
  • Technical Degree or Certificate
  • Military PMEL Training
  • Metrology experience
  • Experience with IndySoft
