Job description

CRM Data and Reporting Fleet:
The CRM Data and Reporting Fleet is responsible for defining and delivering a centralized, standardized, and modern data and reporting capability for Credit Risk Management. The Fleet brings together data strategy, curation, governance, and reporting delivery to establish a single source of truth for risk reporting, while enabling scalable, self service analytics through modern platforms such as Power BI and Analyze in Excel
Data and AI Strategy Squad:
The Data and AI Strategy Squad sits at the core of the Fleet and defines the end-state data, reporting, and AI-Capabilities, operating model, and governance standards. The squad works closely with reporting teams, data management, and technology partners to translate strategic priorities into executable frameworks, procedures, and scalable solutions aligned with firm-wide modernization initiatives.
Background on the Position:
We are seeking an Associate to join the CRM Data and Reporting Fleet within the Data and AI Strategy Squad. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and enablement, supporting both the day-to-day operation of the Fleet and longer-term data, reporting, and AI modernization initiatives.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Data and AI Strategy lead and act as a force multiplier across the Fleet-helping coordinate work across squads, maintain operational discipline, and ensure strategic priorities are translated into clear, executable plans.
The role provides broad exposure to CRM reporting, data curation, semantic model design, BI tooling, and emerging AI-enabled reporting capabilities, and requires close collaboration with Credit Risk IT, reporting teams, and business stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Data Curation, Modeling, and Reporting Delivery
- Support data curation processes and contribute to logical and semantic model design
- Enhance and maintain Power BI dashboards and Analyze in Excel reports
- Help ensure reporting solutions are scalable, well-structured, and aligned with Fleet data standards
Operational Frameworks, Procedures, and Documentation
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of fleet-wide operating procedures, documentation, and workflows
- Support governance, control, and standards adoption to ensure consistency as the platform evolves
Technology and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Credit Risk IT and key stakeholders to support data, reporting, and AI modernization initiatives
- Help bridge strategy, technology, and execution across squads
Fleet Enablement and Operations
- Support Fleet-level coordination across squads, including tracking progress, reviewing Rally/JIRA artifacts, and following up on actions
- Maintain collaboration spaces and working materials to ensure transparency and effective execution
AI and Innovation Enablement
- Support AI-enabled reporting and analytics initiatives by understanding user needs and identifying process improvement opportunities
- Assist with the adoption of modern tools, automation, and AI-driven capabilities across reporting and operational workflows

Skills/Experience Required:

- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of experience in a business and/or data analysis role within Financial Services, Consulting, Accounting, or Corporate Finance
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data curation concepts, with hands on experience using SQL (joins, keys, relationships)
- Experience maintaining logical and physical data models and contributing to curated data pipelines
- Working experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools, including exposure to semantic model design
- Foundational understanding of AI and analytics concepts, including awareness of the differences between traditional machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and agent-based or agentic workflows
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting, analysis, and issue investigation
- Well organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working in a fast paced, collaborative environment
Additional skills (nice to have):
- Working knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation
- Experience with Rally and/or JIRA for agile delivery and backlog management
- Exposure to Snowflake or other modern cloud data platforms

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $140,000 year at the commencement of employment.However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
