Reporting to the Manager, International Recruitment, the Outreach & Conversion Specialist provides proactive, targeted outreach and support to international prospects and applicants to encourage progression through the admissions funnel and enrolment in NAIT programs. The role focuses on desk-based lead management and conversion, supporting recruitment efforts by engaging a high volume of international prospects and applicants across multiple markets and time zones.

The Specialist is well-versed in NAIT's international admissions processes and requirements and applies relationship management best practices to reduce barriers, provide clarity, and support timely decision-making. The role requires independent judgment to prioritize outreach activities based on intake timelines, market dynamics, application status, and institutional objectives, while working closely with International Recruitment, Admissions, and Marketing teams, and other internal partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, own, and continuously refine NAIT International's applicant-to-enrolment conversion strategy across all markets and intakes.

  • Execute the conversion strategy through structured outreach to applicants - email, phone, and text/chat - moving them through the admissions funnel from offer to deposit to enrolment.

  • Support all Regional Managers by supplying conversion tactics, applicant follow-up, and pipeline coordination for their respective markets, acting as the central desk-based conversion function behind regional recruitment efforts.

  • Segment and prioritize applicant pipelines based on intake timelines, application status, and conversion likelihood to focus effort where it yields the most enrolments.

  • Design and run automated and manual email and calling campaigns aligned to each stage of the conversion funnel.

  • Maintainaccurateapplicant records in NAIT's CRM system (such as Salesforce and Slate) and analyze CRM and Power BI data to track conversion rates and adjust tactics.

  • Coordinate with Admissions, Marketing, academic Schools, and the International Recruitment team to resolve applicant barriers and keep the pipeline moving.

  • Track progress against conversion and enrolment targets, report on funnel performance, and adapt the strategy for continuous improvement.

Knowledge of:

  • NAIT's international admissions processes, requirements, programs, policies, and services.

  • Customer relationship management and lead-nurturing best practices in a high-volume outreach environment.

  • CRM systems (such as Salesforce and Slate) and Power BI recruitment reporting, with the ability to translate data into outreach strategy.

  • Data analysis principles and methods for interpreting recruitment and admissions data toidentifytrends, gaps, and outreach opportunities.

  • Different international target audiences across markets their preferences, perspectives, and challenges.

  • Relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, including FOIP and international student admissions requirements.

  • Enrolment management principles, the admissions funnel, and conversion and yield strategies.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and strong intercultural skills to build relationships with a diverse, global range of stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and work independently across competing intake deadlines and time zones.

  • Strong data-analysis skills, with the ability to interpret CRM (such as Salesforce and Slate) and Power BI recruitment data and translate it into effective, targeted outreach plans.

  • Proficiencywith standard computer applications and the ability to learn and adapt to new software and technologies quickly.

  • Ability toinitiate, take risks, and trynew approachesin a role that involves breaking new ground in international outreach.

  • Attention to detail and sound judgment in advising applicants and resolving barriers to enrolment.

  • Coordination skills to work across Admissions, Marketing, and the International Recruitment team and keep applicant pipelines moving.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a related fieldrequired; a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered, and equivalencies may be considered.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a post-secondary institutionrequired.

  • 1-3 years of related experience in international student recruitment, advising, or a similar field is an asset.

  • Fluency inadditionallanguages is an asset.

  • CRM system experience is an asset.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends across time zones, with advance notice.

  • Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by WES, IQAS, or CES.

Remuneration

Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

The compensation range for this job posting is : $75,428.08 - $101,181.34
