Data Conversion Leads also manage teams, communicate with stakeholders, and troubleshoot issues that arise during the conversion process. Their expertise ensures that critical data assets are effectively migrated while meeting project timelines and compliance requirements.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data structures into scalable, high-quality solutions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead data-focused work sessions and workshops with client stakeholders to gather requirements, review mappings, and resolve data-related decisions
  • Engage directly with customers to explain data structures, transformation logic, and migration outcomes in a clear and actionable way
  • Develop and maintain detailed source-to-target data mapping specifications aligned to Accela data models (e.g., records, contacts, parcels, ASI)
  • Design and execute data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes to migrate data into the Accela Civic Platform
  • Perform data cleansing, normalization, and enrichment activities to ensure consistency and accuracy prior to migration
  • Execute mock conversions and support iterative migration cycles, including testing, validation, and issue resolution
  • Develop and execute data validation and reconciliation processes to confirm completeness, accuracy, and integrity of migrated data
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and work collaboratively with functional consultants and client stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities related to migrated data and ensure readiness for go-live
  • Participate in go-live cutover activities, including final data loads and post-migration validation
  • Document migration processes, mapping logic, validation results, and lessons learned to support repeatability and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate curiosity and initiative in leveraging AI-assisted tools and automation to improve data migration processes, including mapping, validation, documentation, and repeatable frameworks
  • Contribute to the development of data migration best practices, tools, and templates across the Professional Services organization

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience in data migration, data conversion, or ETL-related roles in enterprise software implementations
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Hands-on experience with data mapping, transformation, and validation processes
  • Experience designing and executing ETL workflows, including extraction, transformation, and loading of large datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing discussions, workshops, or working sessions and effectively engage with stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical audiences and drive decisions with customers
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data structures and translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong experience with data validation and reconciliation techniques to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, developers, and client stakeholders
  • Experience working on SaaS or enterprise application implementations (government/public sector experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated willingness to adopt and leverage AI-assisted tools, automation, or modern data technologies to improve delivery efficiency and scalability
