Fleet Data Centers is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Technical Program Manager, Capacity Deployment to lead end-to-end planning and execution of rack deployments across data centers. This role bridges engineering, supply chain, facilities, and operations to deliver racks on time, within scope, and to technical standards while managing risk, dependencies, and scale.
You will ensure that customer and internal hardware is deployed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with Fleet requirements, SLAs, and site standards, while coordinating across facilities, vendors, and customers.
How will you make a difference?
Program & Deployment Management
  • Own the rack deployment lifecycle: customer coordination, design readiness , procurement, staging, install, turn-up, handoff to operations
  • Build and maintain integrated deployment schedules (racks, power, network, cooling, space)
  • Track capacity readiness (MW, kW per rack, RU utilization, floor space)
  • Drive execution across multiple sites or regions simultaneously

Technical Coordination
  • Translate hardware designs (rack elevations, BOMs, power/network specs) into executable deployment plans
  • Ensure alignment with: Power (A/B feeds, breaker sizing, PDU types), Network (ToR, uplinks, labeling, fiber paths), Cooling (airflow class, containment, liquid cooling if applicable)
  • Validate deployment meets data center standards and change controls

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Act as primary point of contact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Data center engineering, Customers, Network & server engineering, Supply chain / logistics, Construction, Commissioning , Vendors and installers
  • Run deployment reviews, risk assessments, and go/no-go checkpoints

Risk, Quality & Change Management
  • Identify and mitigate risks (delays, power constraints, late hardware, site readiness)
  • Manage change requests impacting scope, cost, or schedule
  • Drive mitigation plans and escalation paths
  • Ensure documentation is complete for audits and operational handoff
  • Ensure deployment quality, documentation completeness, and audit readiness

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, Economics, or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure technical program or deployment management
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, Rack types, PDUs, breakers, ToR switching Power density and cooling constraints
  • Experience deploying servers, storage, or network racks at scale
  • Familiarity with rack layouts, elevations, and structured cabling
  • Advanced proficiency in Program tracking tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Asana), documentation systems (Confluence, SharePoint), Basic data analysis (Excel, dashboards)
  • Demonstrated experience presenting high-impact analyses to VP- and C-level audiences
  • Strong business acumen with an ability to connect technical forecasts to investment and strategic decisions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in hyperscale or colocation data center planning or cloud hardware strategy
  • Exposure to capacity planning or data center expansion programs
  • Knowledge of compliance or audit requirements (change management, asset tracking)

Location: Denver, CO - Seattle, WA - Austin, TX or Arlington, VA. Hybrid: 3-days per week in office
Expected Salary Range: $160,000- $200,000 Salary + Discretionary Bonus
