A Day in the Life

As a Senior GIS Analyst, you'll be responsible for leading multiple projects where you will act to guide and direct our strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $95,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Manage large, multistakeholder GIS projects endtoend, balancing scope, timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Identify and support new business opportunities by translating geospatial capabilities into value propositions, proposals, and client-facing solutions.

  • Coordinate across business units, IT, and external partners to align priorities, resolve issues, and drive informed decisions on complex geospatial initiatives.

  • Lead, coach, and develop GIS staff by setting technical direction, reviewing work for quality, and fostering growth in both analytical and professional skills.

  • Apply GIS expertise to interpret legislation, policies, and standards, ensuring geospatial data and outputs align with regulatory frameworks and audit expectations.

  • Design and implement GIS tools, applications, and automated workflows that incorporate compliance rules and improve operational efficiency.

Your Expertise and Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline or technical diploma

  • Have a keen eye for cartographic design and the capability to produce high quality cartographic products

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Proven experience coordinating with team members and clients to determine Geomatics project requirements.

  • Proven experience implementing & managing Geomatics projects

  • Experience in the following areas will be considered an asset:

    • ESRI Enterprise Geodatabases

    • ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal) / Online

    • Setting up ESRI Field Maps and Survey 123 data collection services

    • ESRI Field Maps and Survey 123 data collection services

    • FME or ESRI model builder

    • Programming experience such as Python, Arcade, JavaScript, C#, SQL

    • Linear Infrastructure experience
