Job description

Description The Data Integration Specialist provides technical support for data integration, data management, and reporting activities that support organizational operations. This role will support dashboard development, reporting, and data organization efforts for a student-focused operational environment. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, solving business problems, and building clear reports for end users. In this role, you will help pull data from Oracle-based systems, clean and organize information, and build dashboards or reporting tools that make it easier for users to find what they need. One example of this work could include supporting a dashboard that allows a student to select a destination country and then returns the forms or travel requirements associated with that location. Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Assist with integrating data from multiple sources to support organizational reporting and business operations.
* Maintain and update data records to ensure information is accurate, complete, and consistent across systems.
* Perform routine data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation to identify and correct discrepancies.
* Support the preparation of reports, dashboards, and other data products for management and program personnel.
* Assist with importing, exporting, and organizing data files in accordance with established procedures.
* Maintain documentation related to data processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
* Coordinate with project staff and system users to resolve routine data issues and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
* Assist with testing new system features, data updates, and process improvements before implementation.
* Monitor scheduled data transfers and report any issues requiring corrective action.
* Support data collection activities by ensuring information is entered accurately and maintained in accordance with organizational standards.
* Assist in identifying opportunities to improve data management processes and operational efficiency.
* Maintain data confidentiality and comply with organizational policies regarding information security and records management.
* Provide courteous and professional customer support to internal users regarding data-related questions and system issues.
* Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and project activities as assigned.
* Maintain accurate records of completed work and provide status updates to supervisors and project managers.
* Perform other related duties as assigned in support of organizational objectives. Requirements * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
* One (1) to three (3) years of experience supporting data management, administrative systems, or information technology functions.
* Basic understanding of data management principles and data quality practices.
* Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, and standard business software applications.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and manage information accurately.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines.
* Experience supporting government or Department of Defense organizations is desirable but not required.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance.
