Job Description
As a Data Owner Senior Associate within the Business Banking Team, you are accountable for data in the Business Banking Products that is created, provisioned, or consumed to support business objectives, advanced analytics, operations, and reporting. You will collaborate as a member of the Quad, working closely with product owners, design leads, and technology leads to deliver data that meets quality and safety requirements. You'll build strong relationships across the business and help drive the firm's agenda for data excellence.
You will support the Data & Analytics lead for your product, ensuring data is integrated into analytics platforms and meets business needs. Your work will involve designing and developing data models, uplifting metadata, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. This role offers significant learning and mobility opportunities, allowing you to grow your career while making a meaningful impact on both our customers and the business.
Job responsibilities
  • Create plans for the development and delivery of product data to support strategic business objectives, operations, analytics, and reporting
  • Identify and document the scope of critical data, ensuring clarity, purpose, and proper classification with metadata
  • Support analytics initiatives by identifying data required for integration into analytics platforms
  • Document and coordinate requirements for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Develop processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks, including protection, retention, storage, and use
  • Build strong relationships with data delivery partners and consumers across Business, Technology, Analytics, Operations, and Risk
  • Track and manage workstreams and KPIs to ensure successful delivery of data initiatives
  • Design and develop data models to support business processes and analytics requirements
  • Create and optimize database structures for efficient data storage and retrieval
  • Analyze data requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data models
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, structures, and processes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree required, with 3+ years of industry experience in a data-related field
  • Technical expertise in data management, data engineering, data pipelines, data modeling, data architecture, and governance
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google, or Azure, and/or big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Alteryx, or Snowflake
  • Strong understanding of data quality, privacy, and security standards, and experience with data governance frameworks and tools
  • Proven ability to manage delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines
  • Subject matter expertise in business or product data or processes
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
  • Understanding of Agile technological development methodology
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for data management and modeling

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Recognized thought leader within a related field
  • Highly proficient in data querying with languages as Python, R, Perl, SQL
  • Good knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design and data analytics
  • Familiarity with different data environments such as AWS S3, Snowflake and Data Bricks
