Title: Data Center Technician
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, network equipment, and other data centre hardware.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor the performance of data Center systems, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure optimal uptime.
- Physical Infrastructure: Manage the physical infrastructure of the data centre, including power, cooling, and cabling.
- Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and threats.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaboration: Work with other IT staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Staying Up to Date: Keep abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in data centre operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of server hardware, networking protocols, operating systems, and virtualization technologies.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Physical Dexterity: Ability to work in a data centre environment, including lifting and moving equipment.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
