Data Center Associate

Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES The Data Center Associate is expected to be able to :

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and network devices.
  • Perform rack and stack, structured cabling (copper/fiber), and equipment integration.
  • Execute system imaging, patching, upgrades, and hardware replacement.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, and hardware failures.
  • Monitor system health, alerts, and environmental conditions.
  • Maintain asset accountability and update configuration management systems (CMDB).
  • Apply cybersecurity controls, including STIG compliance and patch management.
  • Support incident response, outage coordination, and maintenance activities.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and changes in accordance with operational standards.
  • May include shift work, on-call support, and off-hours maintenance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
  • Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, a related field OR a high school diploma with 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • One or more of the following DoD 8570/8140 certifications:
    • CompTIA Security+ CE
    • CompTIA A+
    • CompTIA Network+

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • ITIL 4 Foundation
  • 1-4 years of experience in:
    • Data center operations
    • IT support / help desk
    • Hardware installation or field technician roles
  • Exposure to DoD or federal environments
  • Experience in structured cabling or rack/stack work

Overview We are seeking a Data Center Associate member to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency's Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Data Center Associate provides entry-level technical support for data center operations, including hardware installation, cabling, monitoring, and basic system maintenance in a secure DoD/DIA environment. They work under supervision to ensure infrastructure availability, physical security, and compliance with operational and cybersecurity requirements.
