Company Description
Overview
The candidate will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the data center. Will assist team members with new builds in remote sites. Work with different departments within the company to deploy new environments. This person will be onsite in the data center, will be responsible for receiving new equipment, planning rack layouts and infrastructure cabling. Maintaining a clean and organized data center is a must.

Annual Salary: $63,600 - $118,000
Responsibilities
Daily Job Duties:
  • Hardware installation & decommission of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.
  • Solve issues and repair data center hardware and networking infrastructure.
  • Rack and stack of data center equipment, including but not limited to servers, networking devices, monitoring systems and other equipment.
  • Rack installation including putting racks in place, cabling, power up and handoff of servers to internal provisioning teams.
  • Monitoring of DC environments using monitoring tools
  • Monitoring and respond in a ticketing environment that is used and monitored by multiple internal owners and teams.
  • Documentation of activities and create/modify SOPs.
  • Decommission life cycle of data center hardware.
  • Inventory process, order replacement parts and return failed parts as required.
  • Structured cabling, labelling, and resolving faults in fiber/copper/telecom cables.
  • System power supplies and cabling installation, identify and fix problems and repair.
  • Be able to complete small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and delivering larger local projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Show professionalism on your daily data center routine activities.
  • Receive/ship data center equipment as needed.
  • Install, remove, and fix hardware in data centers racks without disturbing other hardware and critical infrastructure on site.
  • Maintain asset inventory and update internal applications as needed.
  • Be accessible via cell phone and willing to work onsite as needed.
  • Participate and complete training that aligns with corporate objectives to bridge skill gaps and learn new relevant technologies.
  • Act within Service Level Agreements (SLA) on the tickets assigned to you in your space.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 Years data center experience
  • Knowledge of Dell PowerEdge Servers
  • Knowledge of Dell iDRAC
  • Knowledge of data center power types and standards
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Linux OS experience
  • RACADM CLI
  • Dell Openmanage Enterprise experience

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of server/storage/network hardware.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong interest in learning new DC concepts.

Compensation Range: USD $73,500.00 - USD $136,500.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
