Job description

Overview
Milton CAT is looking to hire a highly driven, process-oriented Data Center Project Manager to join our growing team. The data center market is booming. If you are a strong project manager, who is highly organized and wants to support an iconic brand of the highest quality and best supported products in the industry, we look forward to hearing from you.
Milton CAT is looking to invest in and develop the right individual to execute the delivery and installation of our backlog of work, as well as to launch your career path within Milton CAT. You will go through training covering "who we are at Milton CAT", our service operations, our internal systems and departments as well as the industry as a whole.
This role will provide management of power generation projects from receipt of purchase through customer acceptance, which includes timely, cost-effective, and efficient management of multiple projects to meet customer expectations. This person will organize, schedule, coordinate, and effectively communicate to execute projects.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 with bonus potential.
Responsibilities
  • Review project specifications / drawings / contracts and compare them to the sales order submitted by the sales department.
  • Prepare technical submittal / drawing package for each project.
  • Order all Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar materials and equipment from suppliers, ensuring a timely release and delivery.
  • Manage the start-up process and documentation with contractors, engineers, customers, owners, utility companies, sales staff, and service technicians.
  • Coordinate delivery of equipment to job sites and invoicing
  • Perform on-site job review and attend construction meetings with contractors as needed.
  • Provide problem resolution with multiple parties, both technical and financial.
  • Maintain accuracy of all technical and financial aspects of each project to ensure gross profit levels are maintained.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 25 - 30% to project sites nationally for key milestones such as delivery, startup, and commissioning.

  • Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, and construction drawings.

  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
  • Self-confidence to work well with various leadership levels (internal and external).
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
