Job description

Data Center Technician IV – Rapid Response Team (75% Travel)Overview

We are seeking experienced Data Center Technicians to join a high-impact Rapid Response Team supporting large-scale enterprise data center environments across the United States. This role is ideal for technicians who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and are comfortable traveling extensively to support critical infrastructure deployments and operations.

Technicians will be responsible for troubleshooting, deployment, installation, decommissioning, and support of server and network infrastructure, including large-scale hardware deployments. Experience supporting enterprise data center environments is strongly preferred.

Travel Requirement: Up to 75% nationwide travel.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform server and hardware installation, deployment, and decommissioning activities within enterprise data centers.
  • Remove, route, stage, label, and manage power and network cabling.
  • Troubleshoot server, hardware, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.
  • Execute break/fix activities and component replacements following established procedures.
  • Prepare, stage, configure, and perform equipment startups and shutdowns.
  • Conduct physical asset audits and inventory validation activities.
  • Monitor systems for equipment failures and performance issues.
  • Investigate and resolve system alerts, errors, and operational issues.
  • Support testing, diagnostics, and validation of new hardware deployments.
  • Utilize productivity and reporting tools for documentation and operational tracking.
  • Follow established safety procedures, technical documentation, and operational playbooks.
  • Collaborate with technical leads, engineers, and project teams to complete deployments and operational objectives.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of data center experience required.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Hardware deployments
    • Break/Fix troubleshooting
    • Server installation and replacement
    • Data center operations
    • Structured cabling
  • Knowledge of server hardware and components.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% nationwide.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of enterprise data center experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale GPU deployments.
  • Network infrastructure experience.
  • Systems administration or IT operations
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
