Job description


Job Summary
The Product Manager - Medium Voltage (ANSI/IEEE) will be responsible for managing the product offering focused on the development and success in the Commercial and Industrial and Data Center markets. This role will be responsible for supporting the business growth, coordination with Vertiv Regional Business teams and ensuring comprehensive strategies are in place to achieve business goals. The position will be responsible for prioritizing product and customer requirements, developing and executing product roadmaps, and defining the go-to-market and the marketing plan globally. This position will report to the VP - Global Switchgear and will have direct interactions with field and account sales teams in the US and global regions, sales operations, and business leadership executives.
Candidates must be available to work onsite at our Anderson, SC location.
Responsibilities:
  • Gain deep insight into the market and business trends impacting the customers and their approach to solving changing needs in their environments
  • Provide leadership and coordination of global business case to position Vertiv for growth in target segments
  • Establish and manage product pricing in line with customer and Vertiv requirements
  • Be an integral part to the Sales teams engagement with target customer group to ensure close collaboration of technical requirements and evaluation of business opportunity
  • Collaboration with sales leadership on target market opportunity including definition of unique product features and key marketing requirements for growth
  • Research market trends, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Track and provide offering trend analysis and insights to the Product Marketing and Global Offering Management Teams.
  • Support regional marketing programs to address market opportunities and customer needs
  • Support customer meetings and industry trade events related to target product segments
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or other related discipline
  • 5+ years relevant experience product management, technical sales, business management
  • Professional experience with switchgear and/or data center industry is a plus
  • Experience with data analysis and ability to effectively communicate findings while tailoring to variety of different audiences is required
  • Demonstrated competence in visual and verbal communication, problem solving, & project management
  • Positive, goal-oriented, data-driven, and reliable with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications
