We’re seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Architect to help drive what’s next. In this role, you’ll act as both strategist and technical leader—guiding customers through complex decisions, shaping solutions at Layer 1, and influencing outcomes across the sales journey. If you’re passionate about innovation and thrive in a collaborative, customer-focused environment, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

The annual compensation for this role ranges from Base salary: $100,000 – $120,000 annually + Variable compensation: $40,000 – $52,000 annually.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, education, certifications, and overall alignment with business needs.

Location: Syracuse, NY; Norcross, GA; or remote, with a hybrid schedule available.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver expert pre- and post-sales technical support, including design assistance, addressing technical queries, crafting tailored solutions, supporting quotes, and proposals
  • Technically engage with prospects and current customers to consult, advise, and elevate the customer experience
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure CABLExpress products are the preferred choice during all customer interactions and opportunity development
  • Lead targeted customer-facing meetings and presentations, develop strong customer relationships, and ensure follow-up throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Champion customer satisfaction, support installation and issue resolution to secure repeat business and sustain long-term customer partnerships
  • Lead customer requirement conversations as the technical subject matter expert; develop architectural designs and specifications according to the TIA942 standard
  • Monitor market and competitor activities, providing insightful reports and strategic feedback to Product Management, Product Marketing, and Sales leadership teams
  • Participate in trade shows, high profile conferences, attend standards body meetings, customer training and webinars as a subject matter expert
  • Some travel required

What we're looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in structured cabling, data center storage area networking (SAN), or network infrastructure technical sales
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science or related field
  • Exceptional knowledge of data center optical cabling, structured cabling, and data center transmission topologies; as well as the underlying link-layer standards (Ethernet, InfiniBand and Fibre Channel)
  • RCDD or DCDC certification preferred, experience in structured cable infrastructure design required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio to support design according to TIA942 standards; knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering applications a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, while demonstrating strong attention to detail and appreciation of deadlines is essential
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; be a process-oriented thinker
  • Exhibit strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Must be able to adapt to a high-pressure, continuously changing environment
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the job and the company core values

What we offer:

  • Health insurance and prescription drug coverage
  • Dental and Vision insurance
  • Company-paid life insurance and voluntary life options
  • Company paid short and long-term disability coverage
  • Critical illness, accident and hospital indemnity insurance
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • Pet insurance
  • Traditional and Roth 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Tuition reimbursement and Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid vacation, sick/personal days and holidays

As a condition of employment, upon offer, candidates will be required to participate in a background check and complete a pre-employment drug screen.
