Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Test Automation Engineer / SDET position with a Renowned Healthcare Organization located in Rochester, MN. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity. This position is 100% remote.
Compensation: $60.00 - $63.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This position provides software quality assurance services for key projects and systems. The test automation engineer will partner with an engineering team to build an application for the Research Data Atlas program and will be responsible for both test automation development and manual test case execution when required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide software quality assurance services for projects and systems
  • Oversee the maturation of development methodologies and confirm regulatory compliance
  • Define and analyze product validation for new and/or modified applications
  • Design advanced software automation frameworks and test scripts that function across system environments and interfaces
  • Design and implement custom APIs between tools
  • Investigate operational and process problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel

Primary Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree and at least 3+ years of experience in software or test automation development, with 1+ year of demonstrated technical experience; OR an Associate's degree and at least 8+ years of professional experience in software or test automation development, with 1 year of demonstrated technical experience
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or other cloud environments
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as C, C++, or Java
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as VBScript, Perl, Python, or TCL
  • Proficient in test management and automation tools like Quality Center, Playwright, or Selenium
  • Knowledge of Unix and Windows operating systems
  • Clear demonstration of test plan and test case development

Desired Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of software quality assurance practices and methodologies
  • Knowledge of relational databases
  • Knowledge of tool APIs and experience in building tool integrations
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of SDM tools (e.g., IBM Rational tools: ClearQuest, ClearCase, Requisite Pro, Build Forge)
