Surgery Center Administrator โ Full-Time
Overview:
Seeking an experienced Surgery Center Administrator to lead the operations of a state-licensed and accredited ambulatory surgery facility. The center features 1 operating room and 2 procedure rooms, with services in specialties such as ENT, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Foot & Ankle, Spine, and Pain Management.
Ideal candidates will have leadership experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or relevant surgical leadership experience within a hospital setting, preferably with ASC exposure.
Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations, business development, clinical services, regulatory compliance, personnel management, and financial performance of the facility. Ensures delivery of high-quality surgical services while exceeding patient and physician expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations:
- Direct daily facility functions and appoint delegate leadership when absent
- Act as liaison between medical staff, governing board, and departments
- Report to governing board on facility status and performance
- Plan and evaluate current and future services
Business Operations:
- Ensure adherence to internal control policies and compliance initiatives
- Develop and manage budgets, staffing plans, and purchasing strategies
- Oversee contracts for ancillary services and facility operations
- Lead operational reviews and integrate quality performance initiatives
- Establish pricing strategies aligned with market conditions
Personnel Management:
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews
- Approve hiring decisions, terminations, and position changes
- Monitor staffing levels using performance data and case volumes
- Implement orientation, training, and professional development programs
- Promote a culture of customer service among staff and physicians
Clinical Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Supervise clinical departments (e.g., nursing, supply, records, housekeeping)
- Oversee contracted clinical services such as radiology and lab
- Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute facility-specific sales and marketing plans
- Identify new service lines and business growth opportunities
- Promote positive community and public relations
Quality Improvement:
- Lead the facilityโs quality improvement and infection control programs
- Monitor and address quality of care indicators
- Support medical staff peer review and serve on quality committees
Medical Staff Coordination:
- Oversee credentialing processes
- Collaborate with the Medical Director on policy, bylaws, and physician engagement
- Address issues and foster productive physician relationships
- Align services with physician and patient needs
Administrative Leadership:
- Represent the facility in corporate administrative meetings
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization
- Maintain involvement in professional healthcare associations
- Stay informed on industry changes and trends
Professionalism & Development:
- Identify personal development needs and pursue continuing education
- Adhere to facility policies, dress code, and confidentiality standards
- Communicate courteously and effectively with all stakeholders
Candidate Profile
- Experience:ย 2โ5 years in a leadership role, preferably in an ASC or surgical services environment
- Education:ย Bachelorโs degree required
- Skills:ย Strong clinical acumen; orthopedic experience is a plus; highly self-directed with resourcefulness

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary:ย $110,000 โ $135,000
