Job Description:

The VDC Engineer | Reality Capture supports the planning, coordination, and execution of reality capture work across projects. This role helps turn field conditions into clear and usable data that supports safety, coordination, progress tracking, and quality. This is not a traditional project management role. This position supports field execution, financial tracking, vendor coordination, and internal program development. You will work closely with the Reality Capture Manager, project teams, and VDC to ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and ata high levelof quality.

This role requires someone who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple areas of the business.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience working with clear, high-quality data to support projects, delivering work on time and within budget, effectively managing vendors and equipment, and enabling teams to seamlessly incorporate reality capture into their daily workflows.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Support the growth and adoption of Reality Capture across projects

  • Identifyopportunities to improve workflows and project outcomes

  • Stay up to date on tools, processes, and industry trends

  • Coordinate reality capture services for projects, including scope, schedule, and deliverables

  • Support day-to-day execution of capture workflows in partnership with the Reality Capture Manager

  • Review deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with project needs

  • Support project teams in using captured data for coordination and decision making

  • Ensure proper field conditions are in place to successfully execute reality capture

  • Follow and help improve standard workflows and processes

  • Support client-facing work by ensuring deliverables are clear,accurate, and useful

  • Serve as a resource for teams and stakeholders using reality capture data

  • Develop quotes for reality capture services for internal and external clients

  • Track budgets, costs, and usage for reality capture work

  • Support invoicing and financial reporting

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, including scheduling, scope, and deliverables

  • Helpmaintaina network of trusted vendors

  • Track and manage reality capture equipment and inventory

  • Ensure tools are ready,maintained, andproperly used

  • Support internal systems such as the Reality Capture SharePoint site

  • Help organize documentation, workflows, and training materials

  • Train and support teams on reality capture tools and workflows

  • Create simple guides and best practices

  • Help teams build confidence using capture tools in the field

  • Working knowledge of reality capture tools and workflows
