Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Estimator with 5+ years of telecommunications estimating and engineering experience to design, estimate, and support structured cabling projects.

  • Estimate and engineer structured cabling projects.

  • Design and implement telecommunications and data cabling systems.

  • Prepare and revise engineering drawings.

  • Review project drawings and specifications.

  • Conduct site visits and provide technical support during installations.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and other design disciplines.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

  • Develop project budgets and construction documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications estimating and engineering.

  • Prior engineering experience is required.

  • Experience estimating structured cabling/low-voltage projects.

  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, telecommunications, and data communications infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with BICSI standards, EIA/TIA-568, and NEC codes.

  • Experience preparing engineering drawings, construction documents, and project cost estimates.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
