Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Electronic Security Systems Technician for an exciting long-term contract opportunity. The Electronic Security Systems Technician should be someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking ownership of their work. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of low voltage systems. You'll work directly with customers, support critical systems, and play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. Pay: $41.00 - 45.00 per hour DUTIES: Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low voltage systems, including: * Intrusion alarm systems * Access control systems * CCTV and video surveillance * Voice and data cabling * Diagnose system issues and implement effective, timely solutions * Perform system testing, inspections, and preventative maintenance * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation * Program and configure systems as needed * Document service work clearly and accurately (reports, updates, system changes) * Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members * Provide on-site customer support and basic system training * Maintain tools, test equipment, and (if assigned) company vehicle * Ensure all work meets safety standards, company expectations, and applicable codes REQUIREMENTS: * 5+ years of hands-on experience in low voltage service or a similar role * Software House certification and Lenel On-Guard certification. * DoD Secret Clearance or higher (LVW will hold the clearance) * Solid working knowledge of: * Intrusion detection and alarm systems * Access control systems * CCTV/video surveillance * Structured cabling (voice & data) * Strong troubleshooting skills - you know how to find the problem and fix it * Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively * Confidence working in commercial, government, or high-security environments (preferred) * Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment * Strong organizational and documentation habits Kavaliro provides Equal Employment Opportunities to all employees and applicants.
