Job Description We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting the ENACT Modernization project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building data systems and pipelines using Hadoop, Spark, SQL, and Python/Scala and a proven ability to design scalable data models, transform complex datasets, and deliver reliable data products that inform business decisions. Responsibilities: Analyze and organize raw data to ensure usability and integrity. Build data systems and pipelines across databases, streams, and files. Evaluate business needs and objectives and translate them into data solutions. Interpret trends and patterns and report actionable insights. Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling activities. Design and prototype algorithms and analytical tools. Combine raw information from multiple sources and enhance data quality and reliability. Identify opportunities for data acquisition and integration. Collaborate with data scientists and architects on cross-functional projects. Assess accuracy, completeness, and relationships across datasets. Gather and document business and functional requirements and develop reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses. Design and build data models and data product roadmaps to support business processes. Prototype solutions, prepare test scripts, conduct testing, and execute data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and modeling for data warehouses. Assist with integration and transformation of data resources, applying data science principles and algorithms to improve data quality. Identify rich data sources and build tools to operationalize data use. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's preferred. Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques. Certification in data analytics or related fields. Data engineering certifications such as IBM Certified Data Engineer are a plus. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python. Experience with Scala is beneficial. Hands-on experience with big data technologies including Hadoop and Spark. Strong proficiency in SQL and other data manipulation languages.
