We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our team in Duncan, SC. ย This position is ideal for candidates who have foundational knowledge of data visualization and reporting and are eager to grow their skills in business intelligence. Working directly with the companyโ€™s operational team, the Power BI Developer will support the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data models that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The position will be a critical part of AFLโ€™s Operational Excellence strategy, providing hands-on development and implementation of dashboards to monitor core manufacturing processes, and providing essential manufacturing intelligence for problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.ย 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTING OUTCOMES

  • Assist in creating and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and modeling using Power Query and DAX.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting data.
  • Provide support in monitoring data refresh schedules and troubleshooting data issues.
  • Document report specifications, processes, and data sources for future reference.
  • Stay up to date with Power BI best practices and basic data visualization techniques.
  • Data analysis for support in continuous improvement activities.ย 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 0โ€“2 years of experience working with Power BI or similar business intelligence/reporting tools.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling concepts.
  • Familiarity with Power Query (M language) and introductory-level DAX expressions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

Skills and Abilities

  • Exposure to Excel, Tableau, or other BI tools.
  • Basic understanding of ETL processes.
