The DevOps Engineer delivers automation, integration, and software engineering support for enterprise IT monitoring, logging, and security platforms. This role bridges development and operations to improve reliability, scalability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and automate installation, configuration, and compliance scripts for COTS and GOTS applications.
     
  • Design and implement data automation pipelines integrating:
     
    • Splunk
       
    • Cribl
       
    • NetFlow/sFlow
       
    • Syslog
       
    • Nagios
       
    • HP NNMi and HPNA
       
  • Support continuous integration and deployment of monitoring and analytics solutions.
     
  • Create automation to support:
     
    • System health monitoring
       
    • Compliance validation
       
    • Alert enrichment and normalization
       
  • Enhance dashboards and analytics through scripted inputs, APIs, and custom data sources.
     
  • Support containerized application monitoring and security event visibility.
     
  • Collaborate with Splunk Architects and System Administrators to improve platform resiliency and performance.
     
  • Provide Tier-4 engineering support for complex software issues, including vendor and FOSS escalation.
     
  • Assist security teams and ISSOs with audit readiness, compliance validation, and reporting automation.
     
  • Document automation workflows, scripts, and system integrations.
