Title: Data Analyst
Location: Atalnta, GA
Job Description:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Extract primary data from Oracle Database with the use of SQL
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Provide timely and accurate data to fulfill internal and external data requests
  • Identify, compile, and 'clean' data for research projects
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Oversee evaluation and research projects
  • Communicate the evaluation plan and its details to leadership and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with external research partners to ensure understanding of data points and data sets
  • Develop and monitor internal and external data requests
  • Manage, summarize, and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data
  • Summarize and explain research findings and their implications
  • Prepare findings for publication
  • Develop, review, and abstract published research
  • Produce data visualization dashboards with Tableau

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years in a related lead or supervisory role OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience, Two years of which in a related lead or supervisory role OR Two years of experience at the lower level IT Business Analyst or position equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of knowledge and experience with databases (SQL, Oracle, etc)
  • 5+ years of experience in accessing and extracting data from organizational and/or other institutional databases
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in the Criminal Justice field and/or Data Management/Analysis
  • Proficient skills in queries, report writing, and presenting findings
    Experience in data visualization software (i.e., Tableau)
