Position Summary
This position provides highly hands-on leadership and technical direction for enterprise data architecture initiatives across cloud environments. This role drives the vision, design, and implementation of robust data systems, applying best practices in system design, architecture, and data modeling standards to maximize business and technical impact. This role will mentor and develop data architects and data engineers, ensuring the team delivers scalable, high-performance, and compliant data solutions that enable data-driven decision making to our enterprise-wide customers.
Job Responsibility
  • Lead a team of data architects and engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to elevate skills, collaboration, and delivery.
  • Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for data architecture, in alignment with the company's overall objectives, while also driving hands-on technical execution on critical projects.
  • Architect, design, and optimize data models, databases, data warehouses, and data lakes to support high-volume, complex analytics and transactional workloads.
  • Champion and enforce data architecture best practices, standards, and modern design patterns to ensure the scalability, integrity, reliability, and performance of all data assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-function teams, including software engineering, data science, and business domains to align data architecture initiatives with business requirements and technical objectives.
  • Oversee design and implementation of ELT pipelines, master data, and enterprise data integration strategies with a focus on automation, resilience, and quality.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies, tools, and platforms to address evolving business needs and optimize cost, security, and scalability.
  • Drive implementation of data governance frameworks, quality management processes, and metadata strategies for regulatory compliance and trusted decision-making.
  • Model strong leadership and communication skills at all levels, fostering an environment of innovation, high technical standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide oversight and hands-on subject matter expertise for POCs, demos, and architectural reviews, ensuring best-in-class architecture for cloud and hybrid environments.

Education Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
Experience Required
  • 10+ years' experience in data architecture, data engineering, and database design with at least 2-years at a senior or hands-on lead/manage role.
  • Demonstrated technical experience in advanced data modeling, cloud data platforms (AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Confluent), NoSQL, Kafka, ELT, and middleware integrations.
  • Proven leader in designing, building, and enforcing resilient, high-performance, and scalable enterprise data architectures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, able to drive team growth and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, drive results, and navigate complex technical and organization challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Certifications (e.g., Certified Solutions/Data Architect) highly desirable.

Knowledge Required
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
