A Machine Operator Apprentice works under the supervision of experienced machine operators in various industries, such as manufacturing and production. Their role involves a combination of firsthand training and theoretical study to learn how to operate, set up, and maintain machinery. Here are some key duties and responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Setup and Operation: Help in setting up and operating several types of machinery according to company procedures and safety regulations.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine inspections to ensure machinery is in good working order, assist in troubleshooting malfunctions, and perform basic repairs as needed.
  • Observation and Learning: Observe experienced machine operators to gain knowledge and improve skills.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to company and regulatory safety guidelines.
  • Data Recording: Accurately record machine operation data and report any issues or irregularities to the supervisor.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control checks to ensure the output meets company standards.
  • Material Handling: Assist in loading and unloading materials onto the machines.
  • Training Adherence: Follow all training and instructions related to machine operation, safety protocols, and company policies.

Job Brief:

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator Apprentice to assist our experienced Machine Operators. You will be responsible for helping with the setup, operation, and maintenance of our production machinery. The ideal candidate is interested in learning more about the manufacturing process and is eager to gain practical experience with machinery operations.

It is the expectation of the apprentice to learn the full functions of the machine operators during the 90-day training window. After doing so the apprentice must be able to exhibit the necessary skills to run the production line as a machine operator.
