Job description

Role and Responsibilities
• Charting out the project objectives and plans, setting performance requirements, and selecting project participants.
• Bringing about optimum utilization of resources- labor, materials, and equipment, and ensuring their procurement at the most cost-effective terms.
• Implementation of various operations through proper coordination.
• Development of effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among the various participants.
• Oversee the construction project from start to finish.
• Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
• Create the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each, and assign individual responsibilities.
• Project accounting functions include managing the budget, tracking team expenses, and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
• Ensure that construction activities move according to a predetermined schedule.
• Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when the need arises.
• Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
• Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and laborers.
• Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
• Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
• Periodic inspection of construction sites.
• Ensure project documents are complete.
• Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
• Serve as a key link with the clients and review the deliverables prepared by the team before passing them on to the client.
• Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good understanding of Fire, Security, and Cameras Systems.
• Ability to work with both Excel and Word documents.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules utilizing either MS Project, Primavera, or other Project scheduling tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Physical Demands: Frequent sitting, occasional stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Frequent standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in-person and/or on the telephone, vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data, repetitive motions for computer equipment use.
• Must successfully pass a background check & drug test.
• A four-year bachelor’s degree in engineering or a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience in project and facilities management.
Work Environment: Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places (job sites) and/or an office environment with conditioned air and bright lights.
