Location: Phoenix, AZ

Position is 50% onsite and 50% remote - around 2-3 days in office
Required Skills:
  • 5 or more years of experience in project coordination and management
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with project tracking tools (Azure DevOps, Jira etc)
  • Understanding of Project management Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

Preferred Skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Role & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the project proposals for the Senior Leadership Team and the hands-on execution of the CIO's highest-priority strategic projects.
  • Provides assistance to CIO and serves as the liaison to the IT Senior Management team.
  • Partner with IT leads to translate technical needs into business value, financial ROI, and strategic alignment.
  • Develop presentation materials for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), ensuring data is accurate and the "ask" is clear.
  • Maintain the "demand" queue-knowing which projects are coming up for approval and ensuring they are "ELT-ready".
  • Personally lead 2-3 "CIO-only" projects that fall outside the standard delivery partner's scope. Ensure these special projects do not drain the "run/build" capacity of the broader IT organization. Act as a rapid-response leader for unexpected executive-level issues that require immediate, high-level project management

Qualifications & Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 or more years of experience in project coordination and management (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with project tracking tools (Azure DevOps, Jira etc)
  • Understanding of Project management Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Arizona State Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

Skills
  • Highly polished public speaking and visual presentation skills, capable of confidently articulating complex proposals to Leadership.
  • Must be comfortable with financial concepts, specifically onetime capital expenditure and ongoing operational costs.
