Job Description:

L3 Harris is seeking a Lead Program Manager to lead space development programs within the Global Networks business area. The Program Manager will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned programs while achieving key business results and customer satisfaction. The Program Manager will also be responsible for communication within and outside of L3Harris to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Additionally, the PM will prepare proposals and Statements of Work and serve as the primary customer interface for program activities, reviews, and performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate effectively within and outside of L3Harris, including with strategic partners in industry and government
  • Conduct briefings for senior leaders and customers
  • Lead and manage through all phases from planning to execution and delivery
  • Oversee program scope, schedule, budget, and performance through effective planning, monitoring, and control
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Prepare and present comprehensive status reports covering risks, opportunities, schedule, financials, contract activity, and technical performance
  • Ensure compliance with internal policy, contractual requirements, applicable regulations, and industry standards
  • Provide leadership to a cross functional program team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance
  • Manage program risks and opportunities by developing, implementing, and tracking mitigation strategies
  • Ability to obtain a US Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to travel 20%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with and knowledge of space domain platforms and customers
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills with broad-based consideration of organizational impact.
  • Experience managing major subcontractors
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and champion new concepts or technologies
  • Experience in different phases of project and program management, from proposal and ensuing negotiations through contract award, project planning, project execution and closeout
  • Experience in proposal preparation, including developing cost estimates, schedules, and technical content, to support bids and contract negotiations
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and various levels of management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and its application
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience with the program integrated master schedule (IMS), including data input/output and progress tracking on the program.
