Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and cost control procedures, Proficiency with personal computers and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of constituencies, and sound decision-making ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the administration of program activities to include arrangement for class room space, special events, and other program needs.
  • Responds to inquiries and explains program activities; recommends changes or improvements.
  • Serves as a liaison between program and other university offices, external organizations, and the public.
  • Collaborates in the scheduling and planning for conferences, meetings, and seminars with responsibility to make necessary arrangements including travel and coordination of events and details.
  • Negotiates hotel contracts, physical facility meeting space, and banquet contracts and/or schedules locations for training and academic classes. Resolves administrative and logistical problems to include arrangements for class room space and hotel accommodations.
  • Oversees and participates in collection of data and the preparation and submission of applicable reports to support program activities; creates and maintains relevant files and databases.

Physical and Environmental Demands:
