Program Manager, Digital Deposits

Role Overview

The Deposit Program Manager is a senior execution leader responsible for translating Citizens deposit and household digital growth strategy into disciplined, measurable delivery. This role serves as the operational backbone of the Household Growth team, owning execution across two to three concurrent digital sales oriented workstreams spanning acquisition, onboarding, and relationship deepening.

Operating at the intersection of strategy, execution, and performance management, this individual ensures complex cross functional initiatives move from concept to launch with clarity, accountability, and speed. The role is ideal for a seasoned digital program leader who thrives in matrixed environments, brings structure to ambiguity, and consistently delivers results in a regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

End to End Program Delivery

Own end to end delivery of multiple digital deposit growth initiatives from intake through launch and post launch performance tracking
Provide oversight and leadership on digital sales performance routines, metrics, and operating cadence
Contribute to the development of performance measures, goals, and success metrics
Influence and lead digital sales funnel health analysis and optimization opportunities
Plan and coordinate closely with line of business leaders, functional partners, and subject matter experts
Ensure business cases are developed for budgeting, planning, and tracking revenue and expenses
Proactively assess systems and processes to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
Build appropriate risk mitigation steps into delivery plans and execution
Recognize when issues require escalation and drive timely decision making
Lead cross functional teams of internal and external resources on a project basis
Analyze and manage variances to program plans and portfolio commitments
Develop and execute action plans to mitigate risks or resolve delivery issues
Prepare dashboard reporting to communicate program and portfolio health to senior leaders
Evaluate investment opportunities and tradeoffs to optimize program outcomes
Ensure delivery aligns with Citizens business priorities and risk framework
Drive structured follow ups, accountability, and issue resolution to maintain momentum

Program Leadership and Subject Matter Ownership

Act as the day to day subject matter expert for household growth delivery
Own workplan development, sequencing, and execution approach across initiatives
Coordinate internal teams, consultants, and specialists with clear ownership and timelines
Maintain integrated program roadmaps that visualize milestones, dependencies, risks, and timelines

Performance Management and Insights

Establish and manage delivery KPIs, milestones, and health metrics across all active workstreams
Monitor performance to identify risks, blockers, or underperformance early
Proactively drive path to green recovery plans when initiatives fall off track

Governance, Risk, and Planning

Support definition of program scope, milestones, and success metrics
Lead discovery and planning sessions to ensure initiatives are designed for efficient and compliant execution
Maintain strong documentation standards and a single source of truth across stakeholders

Executive Communication and Transparency

Develop concise, executive ready status updates, dashboards, and briefing materials
Clearly communicate progress, risks, tradeoffs, and decision points using data driven narratives
Support leadership decision making through timely, accurate, and transparent reporting

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree required
MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
PMP, Agile, or related certification a plus, not required

Experience

8+ years of experience in digital program or project management, marketing delivery, product operations, or related roles within financial services
Experience supporting digital growth or digital sales initiatives strongly preferred

Skills

Proven ability to lead complex, cross functional programs in a highly matrixed organization
Strong execution mindset with a track record of delivering results amid competing priorities
Proactive manager who anticipates issues and resolves them before impacting delivery
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with senior leadership exposure
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics preferred, not required

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $155,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, work location, relevant skills, and experience.
