Job Title: Software Engineer | Software Synthesizer
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
This position is open for a mid-level customer-facing Software Engineer with a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a desire to deliver solutions to some of the toughest challenges facing the aerospace/defense industry today. Candidates must meet the general requirements below to be considered. Additional qualifications for senior-level applicants are listed throughout the description.

You have a strong desire to stand at the center of the action, working with several skilled teams such as product development, engineering, and operations to determine the precise needs of each customer. You want to know exactly how the customer is going to use our products and how we can not only deliver the right product to meet their current needs, but also scale to their future needs with production-quality systems. You have enough software engineering background to speak intelligently about the technical aspects of the products to your counterparts who all have different backgrounds and requirements and contribute to the development of these products along the way. You have a desire to act as a project manager in the sense that you're ensuring the right product gets delivered to the customer on time such that they are eager to expand their partnership with us.

What You'll Do:
  • Build complete data pipelines: Develop and deploy bi-directional data integrations to seamlessly synchronize client data with the platform.
  • Collaborate on data architecture: Partner with client engineering teams to streamline data workflows, offering strategic guidance on API endpoint design and data schemas.
  • Create enablement resources: Engineer and maintain technical assets-including SDKs, internal tooling, documentation, and integration playbooks-to accelerate onboarding and drive long-term customer success.
  • Resolve technical escalations: Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, working cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot delivery blockers and resolve complex issues.
  • Own the technical lifecycle: Take full accountability for the overall quality and success of the customer's end-to-end technical journey.
  • Advocate for product enhancements: Coordinate with Account Executives and Product Managers to identify, scope, and advocate for customer-specific feature requests.
  • Cultivate domain expertise: Develop deep technical subject matter knowledge in Large Language Models (LLMs), 2D image annotation, and complex API integrations.
  • Act as a technical ambassador: Champion the company and engage directly with customers and the broader tech community at major industry events and conferences.

Minimum Qualifications/What You'll Bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with some exposure to AI.
  • Versatile Engineering Background: Proven success in client-facing engineering roles, demonstrating the ability to adapt and excel across diverse technical and functional responsibilities.
  • Strategic Client Engagement: Extensive hands-on experience guiding customers through the pre- and post-sales lifecycle to ensure technical solutions drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Software Development Background: Experience using Python and JavaScript, or a comparable modern development stack.
  • Collaborative Project Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal and project management skills, with a focus on delivering complex initiatives on schedule.
  • High-Level Technical Communication: Accomplished presenter capable of maintaining deep technical credibility with both individual contributors and executive stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Fluency: Adept at bridging the gap between internal product teams and external partners through clear, effective communication.
  • Agile & Empathetic Mindset: Driven by intellectual curiosity and user empathy, with a proven ability to maintain high output in fast-paced environments.

Education/Credentials:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science (STEM)
    • Advanced degree preferred

In support of Colorado pay transparency laws, the estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. Individual pay will be determined on a wide variety of job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training, location, licensure and certifications, skills, budgets, and market.
